ARTEQ Consulting does not believe in the "service by the hour" philosophy of our competitiors. Most PC repair shops will bill you at an average hourly rate of $60 - $90 an hour; during which time they may only spend a small fraction of that time actually working on your computer. In most cases they simply click a button and move on to the next computer while yours processes. In that time they may work on 5 or more computers and charge each customer for the same hour.
Our service rates are more like what you will find at an automotive repair shop. We have standardized "Shop Times" that we use to figure our pricing for most jobs in order to make a profit, but still be able to offer quality service and more affordable rates to our customers. Should the job become more in depth than original thought you can rest assured that we will not do any work above the initial request and quote without consulting you first!
Basic rates for common services:

- $25 for computer problem diagnostics. (*Any quick fixes to obvious problems are covered as well.)
- $25 - $40 for SpyWare & Virus removal and OS updates. (*The $40 rate applies to spyware and virus programs that must be removed manually. In extreme cases we may recommend that the hard drive be rebuilt.)
- $10 for hard drive defragmentations. (*Drives over 40GB will incur a $5 charge.)
- $40 for rebuilding a hard drive. (*This price includes hard drive formatting & re-installation of the operating system only.)
- $10 to backup current user data and restore it to a rebuilt drive or secondary drive. (*Data to copy that is in excess of 5 GB will incur a $10 charge for each 5 GB increment.)
- $10 - $25 for software reinstallations. (*Customers must provide the original installation disks and codes.)$10 for new software installations.(*Customers must provide licensed software and installation codes.)
- $10 Hardware installation or replacement. (*The actual hardware will be provided by the customer or we can provide options and purchase the hardware at the customer’s discretion, we will then add that cost to the final bill.)
What you will need to bring:
We will need the original installation software & installation codes for operating systems and software.
- We only need you to bring the CPU (Computer) unless it is a peripheral such as a mouse or printer that is part of your problem.
- We ask that you tape a piece of paper or business card to the CPU that has good personal contact information, such as, a daytime or nighttime phone number or cell phone or pager number.
How long do we need to do the job:
In most cases we will only need 2 -3 days for issues involving break/fix items such as failing hard drives, or suspected virus problems. If the problem is more severe and will require more time to solve your pc’s problem we will inform you with as much notice as possible.
We can also remote into your system to help trouble shoot and fix problems over the pone and a internet connection.
